How HyperBarrier Works
HyperBarrier is a mineral-polymer nanocomposite extrusion coating in which engineered platelet mineral phases are immobilized within a continuous polyolefin matrix, forming a tortuous-path barrier morphology that improves oxygen, moisture, and oil resistance at low coatweights.
This performance combination provides many opportunities for companies to switch from plastic flexible packaging to paper-based flexible packaging, with sufficient heat seal and barrier performance, and adding recyclability in the paper recycling stream.

HyperBarrier delivers a two-hundred-fold improvement in oxygen barrier performance over polyethylene coatings, ensuring product integrity and extending shelf life for a wide range of applications.
